| I downloaded the latest version of Dreamweaver MX 2004 7.0.1 and have found to
be a much better product than before. I read the article relating to what kind
of changes were made to the product and I was pleased that it was scrutinized
as thoroughly as was told, but - YOU MISSED ONE ITEM.
You see, for word processing, we have the latest version of MS Office - 2003.
With it comes MS Word 2003. Every week, I post new job announcements onto the
Internet taking the MS Word version of HTML and convert it to the better use of
HTML that Dreamweaver utilizes. With the first release prior to this new
update, everytime I would choose to CLEAN UP WORD HTML from the Command Menu, I
would get an error message explaining that DW did not recognize the version of
MS Word I was using. It would then list the 2 versions of Word it does
recognize, Word 97/98 and Word 2002.
I thought this would be one of the many new fixes in the new update but
somehow it was overlooked because this command still behaves exactly as it did
with the first release of DWMX 2004. I am still able to convert the document
without too much trouble, but it would be nice if with the next update to DWMX
2004, the CLEAN UP WORD HTML feature is fixed so Word 2003 is recognized.
I did submit a feature request earlier today on this same subject.
Have a great weekend everyone.

| You really don't need it anymore. Just open or paste directly from the Word
document.
