Hi

Both of these pages would be .cfm, the first form should do an insert
into the database and the second page would contain a cfquery that
pulled the relevant info from the database and displayed it to the users.

Could you give me a brief overview on how to create the query on the page that recieves the submission?

Thanks for your help!

Hi

Open dw and use the ctrl + F1 shortcut to open cf help, search for
cfquery a couple of examples are available there.

I have a commercial tut here containing video instruction on doing this
from within DW http://www.communitymx.com/abstract.cfm?cid=36F44

You basically need to access the database records you need using a
query, you would then pass in a variable to filter the information -
commonly from the url or form scopes - to access the required data.

I would guess that some instruction is also available in the tuts that
ship with dw, though I can't say I have done them. Their is also a
tutorial site, Trio, I believe that you can download from Macromedias
site that will likely cover filtering a query.

Thanks for the links. I purchased the tutorial, paid for it, and file is not found!

I'm sure the Macromedia cats will fix, just wanted to let you know.

THANKS!
