Rollovers WITHOUT links?
|
|

| I use Dreamweaver MX, with Mac OS X.
I'm creating a website that uses rollover images to add to the interactivity
of the site; however, these images don't actually link to any pages. Is it
possible to set up the rollovers so that a user does not see the "hand link"
when he rolls over them - it's too confusing for the user. If not, do i have
any options other than using rollovers if I'd like an image that appears to be
transparent, but becomes full color once the user mouses over it?
Thanks!

| Maybe you can use the event "onMouseOver"

| To answer the second question first, you would use a simple image swap,
i.e., swap the grayscale image with the color image.
You can use CSS to force the cursor to the default arrow, but I don't like
doing this -
..special { cursor: default; }
since it changes the basic behavior of the browser.

| The swap image worked, it was exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks!
