When I use dreamweaver to build a dynamic web site with ASP VBScript when I try
to get or put the pages even though everything is put in correctly I can't seem
to do it. I get the error "can not connect to server" . I'm a wed design
student and others in my class connect useing the same settings. My question is
it my machine or the software? Note my machine is G-4 with OS X. Thank you.

It is more than likely your machine.

In order to view ASP pages you must have a web server that processes ASP code.

Internet Information Server (IIS) is the Microsoft answer and it runs on Windows PCs.

There is ChiliSoft that runs on Solaris and Linux platforms but costs $495

You might be better off using a host for your testing
