Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I work on several different
site that each have alot of files. Each one contains 2000 - 3000 files. I
constantly have switch between sites during the day to do my work. I want to
know if there's a faster way for DW to switch between sites. Everytime I
change to a new site there's a long pause for about 10 seconds, then it
reloads the cache. If I switch out, and then go back into the site again it
reloads the cache again. Is there a way to keep it from reloading the cache
every single time...or speed up the site switching somehow?

Hi,

My first suggestion would be to disable the site cache. It doesn't really
provide much benefit, and the times when you do need it (such as when needing
it to update links in documents you move), you would probably want a freshly
built link database anyway.

Depending on your setup, you may wish to consider using another program for
uploading changed files to your site. For instance, in my job, I have to look
after about 10 sites, and each may have a couple of changes a day. This means a
bit of switching between sites, making edits, uploading, switching to another
site. To this end, I have a couple of scripts that:

Edit this page [Open the current browser page in Dreamweaver]
Deploy to Staging/Live Site [Use another FTP program to upload the page/s to
our staging/live site]
Upload then Download [Download another persons work from the staging site, and
upload it to our live site]
