| I work on many different files from many different sites. I am tired of
dreamweaver always automaticly changing all my image calls to local files. I do
not wnat to have to define a new site for each file I work on.
is there a way to always have DW not put local file calls in to the code? when
you start editing it looks normal but when you save the document it changes it.
I know silly basic question but its driven me crazy for a while now

| DW is very site oriented. Why not just define one large site that wraps
your entire "workspace"?
The only way to avoid your problem is to work within a site.

| Hi
To prevent the local file link issue in DW you really do need to define
the site so DW can track and build your links correctly.

| Make a catch-all site that encloses your entire working area. Then make sure that Dreamweaver is using document relative site links by selecting the popup menu when placing your image.
