Author basic page design

I have designed a whole site, but there are some basics which are killing me.
First, I do not want any of the pages in my site to have underlined hyperlinks,
just colored links. How do I get rid of the default underlining of hypertexts.
Second, the page word processor seems to only do what appears to be
double-spacing. How do I change that?

Also, I now seem to have trouble adding a hyperlink to pictures. What is up
with that?

One more thing: I thought adding layers was the answer to putting things where
I wanted them. However, in the browser preview such things are no automatically
centered like the things inserted right on the page. Can I tell the program to
center the inserted layer, no matter what the window size is one's browser?

Thanks for any help,

You need to apply some CSS. Look here:

I don't understand what you mean by "word processor", but I assume that
you have been trying to set the line breaks yourself by hitting "Enter"
(carriage return) where you think it'll be fine.
If so, I advice you to preview, increase font size and see the disaster.
You should allow text to flow without breaks.
But *if* you require a regular line break, hit Shift + Enter, and you'll
get a <br> in the code. Just hitting Enter gives you a new paragraph.

I don't know. All you have to do is to select the image and e.g. hit
Ctrl + L (PC) or Cmnd + L (Mac) and you'll get a window to navigate to
the file you're linking to.

Try the free extensions from www.projectseven.com called "Snap Layer"
and "Layout Designer 2". "Snap layer" will snap a layer (!) to any element.

It seems to be as if you have started off in the wrong end. First, you
need to plan the site, how to make links not underlined (which is a bad
idea, by the way), etc. Then, you create the entire site.
