One pixel of picture is one pixel of screen space. That is the only
constant. DPI is a measurement for printers and does not relate to
preparing images for display on screen. There is no such thing as
optimum DPI based on screen resolution. Browsers don't read DPI.

| Linda, one of us dont understand picture size relations. These tables help to
understand screen size and screen resolution relations which are a base to
Kuly's question. And yes, you can set the density of pixels of screen what
affects on pic dimension on screen which resolution i set to different value by
another user. Because one user sets a different value for screen resolution as
Kuly's, Kuly is in trouble.
And, exactly, a measure for printers is LPI, not DPI.

| Which tables?
The important value is browser viewport width, not screen resolution. My
1280x1024 screen rarely contains a browser viewport wider than about 720
pixels. Admittedly, screen resolution affects the range of viewport sizes
you can choose, but beyond that, it's immaterial.
A 700 pixel wide browser viewport will display page information identically
on an 800x600, a 1024x768 or a 4000x3000 screen.
