Dreamweaver - path / file names too long for FTP download?

path / file names too long for FTP download?

Hi,

I'm downloading an entire website for the first time through Dreamweaver. I'm
getting many, many error messages saying that DW can't "get" a file because its
path name is too long. Is there a preference setting or work-around so that I
can use Dreamweaver's site window FTP to transfer files with long names?

I experience the same problem, which seems to affect mac users only... I have
not found an explanation for this so far.

But it really hinders my day having to beg fellow colleagues running
dreamweaver on windows machines to upload/download files with long names.

Can anyone suggest a workaround (apart from virtual pc!), please, please
help!!!!
