| Hi guys
(To mean gals as well. Perhaps I should have used guals)
I complained to my local librarian about the sparsity and general
obsolescence of the books in the computer section, to which he replied:-
"I believe there are still funds available, so if you give me a list I'll
see what I can do"
What should I tell him?
Now, before you answer that, I'm a fairly new-bie. I'm doing a DW/web design
course at the moment so I'm looking for fairly basic stuff that are
basically tutorials on DW, CSS, graphics, dynamics in general, the mechanics
of e-commerce would be nice, and anything I should have written and haven't.
There are a myriad of books/tutorials that tell you what each element of
(say) DW does, which, to a newbie, can be confusing if he/she can't place it
in the overall scheme of the design.
What I would dearly love to have is a book that starts at the beginning of a
web design and takes you to the end ONLY after stopping at all decision
points along the way and explaining the pros & cons of each choice as you
reach them and then continuing the design using each choice so you can
compare and decide.
I realise this would be quite a large book but does it exist?
One last point, and this could just be me but the Macromedia tutorials feel
like they're still trying to sell it to me even after they've sold it.
I suppose it must be hard to put yourself in the position of a newbie when
you've been using/learning the software for years.
Thanks for your time.
