| If the application is crashing only when opening certain files, and
remains normal when working with others, then that likely has a very
different cause than if the application never worked correctly after
changing the operating system.
(If the one-or-all-files test points to the files, you might check that
they're the same as before the OS change. If that test instead points to
the application or configuration as having changed, then a good first
step is to uninstall the app and reinstall, to get this part back to a
known condition.)

| When I first started using my new G5 ( Pather)I noticed no problems using
Dreamweaver MX (not 2004). About 2 weeks ago, without making any changes I've
noticed that I can no longer update my web site on a reliable basis. Usually
the program hangs and/or quits with a spinning MacOS ball. Sometimes I get
messages: waiting on server. Infrequently it connects and updates.
I also have a 12" PB with MacOS 10.2.8. Dreamweaver MX works fine on that
machine. It seems obvious to me that the problem is Panther incompatibility.
Any suggestions? Is there an update? I will review the Troubleshooting FTP tech
note.......
Thanks!
