| Hello
I'm somewhere in the middle of the learning curve in DreamWeaver 4. A client
want's me to create PDF's for a web site.
They have Acrobat there, but I don't have it at home, so I haven't played
around with it yet. Is it possible to create a PDF in
Photoshop, Freehand or something other that Acrobat that will work in
DreamWeaver?
Can anyone recommend a tutorial somewhere on the net to help walk me though
this?
Thanks

A PDF is basically a format for print, e.g. what ad agencies, etc are
sending to printshops, magazines, newspapers, etc.
It's commonly made in Adobe's InDesign or PageMaker. But there are
plug-ins for e.g. Word, and several other free and commercial apps that
will converse many kind of documents into PDF.
A PDF "for the web" is usually a product description, a manual or
similar, but created in low resolution to minimize download time.
So, it has nothing to do with Dreamweaver, and you can't edit or fix it
there. All you do is linking to it for the user to download (or view in
a browser if that has the right plug-in).
I'm sure you will be able to read about PDF until you choke at e.g.

Once you've created your pdf, if you'd like to link to a particular part of
it in Dreamweaver, you can use this extension to do so:
