Folks:

I am working with someone who is hosting their own site. They have a
W2KServer, and we need to enable CDONTs on this puppy. How do I do that?

Run some CDONTS code on the server. If it works, you're in business. If not,
tell what happens.

I have already done that.

It fails right now with - runtime error 800a0046
Permission denied

Reference is to the send line.

Perhaps this only means that I don't have the proper permissions?

Tricky one to solve. You could try right-clicking on c:\inetpub\mailroot
folder and giving write permissions to the IUSR_Machinename account.

Yes, CDONTS is there. If it wasn't, you'd get a different error :)

As Ken says, I've an article on CDOSYS, but it can be even more difficult to
get working.

See Jules direction about permissions and also make sure the dll is
registered.

Start>Run> regsvr32 cdonts.dll
