Hello,

Some of my websites disappeared from the "edit sites" list. How can it
happen?

Is there a way to get them back?

Thanks

Don't think you can get them back.
Define them again, and *back them up*!
In the window where you select a site to edit, select a site at the
time, click "export" and save the site definitions (that's what you're
exporting).
I believe there's an extension that will help you with this. Make a
Google for "dreamweaver extension back up definitions" or similar.

Yes.
This morning at 02.41 Zulu time, Saturn aligned with a star identified
as TS2863. ;-)
No, I haven't a clue....

It's a known problem in DW. You should run the updater to the latest
version if you did not yet. If you have no system backup, or backup of your
Registry, the Site Definitions are lost and you have to reenter them.

The Site Definitions are stored in Win Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 6\Sites

If you are using WinXP, system restore can get them back.
If you are on Win98 or ME:
http://www.dwfaq.com/FAQ/Miscellaneous/default.asp
-> "Restore your registry"

Dreamweaver MX contains an Export Site Definition feature which allows
sites to be backed up one at a time. This is available by choosing Site
>Edit Sites, choose the site name from the list, then click Export. Follow

the prompts. Repeat this procedure for each site you want to back up.

Or just use my free tool, the MM-Exporter, which can help you backup all
important DW settings and data if you are on PC:
