| Hello,
I have instruction on how to add favorite icon. The image is at 16x16 and
save as a gif. Then I add html code and lead its location, but when I when view
it, it won't work I don't see in my browser. I have Dreamweaver MX and OS X.

That won't work. It must be an icon (*.ico). And you cannot simply rename
your .gif file to an .ico file.

You need the full http address (and it will be more reliable if it's in the
root directory):
http://www.yoursite.com/favicon.ico
Of course, in this example, the .ico file must be named favicon.ico.

| Where do I find the root in Dreamweaver at the top or bottom. How does it look
like? Is there a site can give me a detailed tutorial shorticon. Any suggestion
would be appreciated.

| The root is wherever you want it to be. Dreamweaver can manage hundreds of
sites. Each site has its own root. It is the folder that contains all the
other files and folders that belong to *that* site. Thus you could also
have hundreds of root folders.
For example, I have a clent called asgrad. The root for that cient's site
is here -
C:\My Documents\SCInc\Asgrad\Site
---------------------------------------------^^^^^
In that Site folder, I have index.html, and a folder named images containing
all the images used in the site.
Get it?
