I'm not sure if that is exactly what I want to do with a table...cause as I
said I have this whole image but I just want one spot in it to be the "box"
where all the information is shown. I want to know if I can just take that one
area that I've already sliced and delete that picture and replace it with a
scrolling window...but I need to have that scrolling window fit EXACTLY where
the sliced pic was because I'm going to reinsert the sliced image as the
backround to that window.

I'm afraid if I go the table route as you explained my image my get a little
messed up and loose it continuity.

I did some reading and looks like what I need is a frame. Though just going to insert>frame creates a frame where I don't want it. So basically, how do I swap a frame for an image?

Good grief.

Put a layer on the page. Move it so that it is positioned over your image
where you want it.

Forget about frames.

Yes? Why does that make a difference? Or are you just being a devil's
advocate here?

Just a reminder not to place an absolutely positioned layer over an
image in a <td>.
