I can see your 2/9 post .. and it has two responses. If your newsreader is
set to get 300 headers at a time (like OE is in default), you may have to
select "get the next 300 headers" once or twice to see everything from
yesterday.

1) It's not e-mail, it's news. See:
http://www.google.com/search?&q=nntp
2) The web forum has, as far as I can tell, never been all that efficient;
moreover, the link between the web forum and the nntp forum is questionable
at best.
3) Browse through the archive of the forum at http://groups.google.com/ and
see which side a good deal of the (correct) answers come from.

Damn it people
This person is talking about MM forums in MM WEBSITE, not the forums you
access with outlook express or other email programs.
The fact is, MM on site forums are broken and you can't see new postings
since two weeks. I am very frustrated about that because the onsite forums
used to be 1000 times more practical, useful and efficient that the news
forums via email.
Too bad so many people are actually using the news forums and MM doesn't
seem to be doing anything to fix the site's forums.

Not true. It's about a 50/50 split between NNTP and web forums users
these days, and we're doing quite a bit to 'fix' the forums both
publicly and behind the scenes. We also listen closely to any
discussions on the subject, even if we don't always get involved in them
directly.

The main issue (alluded to in this thread) that occured during last
weekend's migration was that the default list sort order was broken- so
that you never saw current threads in their correct, reverse
chronological order. Hence, posts appeared to never 'show up' and it
seemed in some forums that no new posts had been made in some time.
This has also just been fixed as of the last hour, so if you've specific
issues beyond that, could you please elaborate?

Thanks- Scott
