How to display page location path

| Hello everyone, I?m trying to display the page location path on my pages.
(I?m not sure the what it is called) Basically to show my users where they are
on the site. Even this site (macromedia.com) has this feature. i.e.
home/support/forums/Dreamweaver Support Forms/ (look above the Dreamweaver
General Discussion title.) I would like to know how this is done. Is it
accomplished by having the links manually typed on every page or if there is a
java script or some sort of program that does this automatically? (I hope)
Thank you all for the help.

Hi.
They are called 'breadcrumb links' (i.e. Hansel & Gretel). Either do a
search on Google for them, or start here:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx...readcrumbs.html
I do know that there is an extension for DW to insert these links for you,
but I can't remember where it is. Maybe check out the DW Exchange....

Are you just talking about the URL? The pages are nested in folders. In
other words, in the Macromedia site, there is a folder called support,
inside of which is a folder called "Forums" and so on. If your site is
structured in this way, the URL will automatically show that.

I saved you the leg work. I thought that it may have been Kaosweaver. I was
pretty sure that it wasn't PVII...
Try:
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/e...Extension&avm=1
Watch out for the URL wrapping...

| Aha! Two explanations, as usual.
:)
