| Use OSX to create a ZIP archive of the files from the root folder of the
site down. Burn this archive to a CD. Unzip the archive on your PC.
Define the site in DW to point to the root folder you just unzipped.
Everything should now work properly.

There's no such thing as a 'dreamweaver' file. They're just text files of
whatever language you were working in...asp, html, etc.
So, to answer your question, you just copy them over to your PC.

Well, I'm guessing that your image links are perhaps broken.

| thanks for the quick reply.
is there any way to view the site by double clicking on the index page to open
in a browser on a pc, without having to use DW to point to the root folder?
eg, if the pc doesn't have DW on it
:)

| Check the files on the CD to make sure your CD-burning software did not
truncate the file names to MS-DOS 8.3 format.

Again, these are just HTML files. It's completely up to the end-user's
system preferences as to what program they use to open HTML files in.
