Hi
Can someone please confirm that i am right with this.
If i open a new browser window by using target = "_blank" then it is not still
clased as a pop up and will work in every browser?

Need to make sure

Nope.....that's a pop-up, okay. If it's user-initiated, many pop-up blockers
(including the one in SP2) will allow it, but some pop-up blockers won't,
though I think all of those allow you to do something like Ctrl-click and
let it open.

It it pops up, you can pretty much figure it's a pop-up.....

As long as it's opened by a user action (e.g. Click)
and not automatically (e.g. Onload)

Unfortunately, that's not true. Many pop-up blockers, including the one
Earthlink has built in for their millions of users, block ANY pop-up, even
if it's user-initiated like that. As I told the OP, you can easily get
around it by clicking a second time or hitting Ctrl-click, but they can
still be blocked in many instances.

highlight the link and in the properties window at the bottom you'll see a dropdown menu called "Target". Select "_blank".
