Dumb newbie question

Sorry, can't seem to find the answer to this question.
I can't find an "airbrush" type tool in coreldraw12, but had thought there
was one in 9. I need a tool which will allow me to splurge colour of a
numerically defined transparency/hue in order to give the viewer an idea of
the relative prevalence of an event on a map. The GIMP airbrush tool
appears to do this, but I've already spent a fair bit of time getting the
map sorted in coreldraw, and my attempts to export/import between the two
have so far been unsatisfactory.
All suggestions gratefully received.

Marky,
GIMP is a bitmap editor, CorelDRAW is a vector-based program. If you look in
Corel PHOTO-PAINT, you'll find all kinds of paintbrushes including an
airbrush.
