Overall, I like the new version.
One thing I'm kind of hung up on is the zoom function (mouse wheel). This
has always been a huge advantage DRAW has had over other software, and still
is. However, I like the function better in 12. X3 takes control of the mouse
and centers everything. It's not so bad, it just takes a second or two,
after the mouse moves, to orient your eyes again.
Any way to alter this behavior?
I'm happy they went back to v11 regarding grouping, ungrouping, etc
properties. When you group objects, the tool bar changes to allow you to
ungroup, without deselecting and reselecting the objects again. This was
kind of a bummer in 12 that I'm glad to see they have altered.

Does X3 by any chance allow one to set the scroll wheel top pan instead of
zoom?

Steve
Takes a while to get used to, but it is in fact rather practical.
Give it some time and get back to us with information.
No, I don't think you can change to the old behavior.
Tip of the day: Use Shift together with the mouse wheel,
to get a more moderate zooming.

No, sorry. Seems to be impossible to make them understand that not all users
want to zoom with the mouse wheel (when scroll is "Windows standard") but
I'm still hoping for a change here some time.
If you want it to scroll while waiting, try Freewheel

Hi design,
my mouse seems to be acting the way it did in CD12. If you scroll to
zoom, the centre of the zoom is where your mouse sits on the screen. It
was this way in vers 12. (If an object is at the left of the screen and
you place your mouse cursor over that object and zoom, it will zoom in
to that object, therefore moving that object towards the centre of the
screen. Just have your mouse in the centre of the 'sceen' when zooming
if you want everything to stay where it is).
If you click your centre mouse button, you can pan in any direction by
moving the mouse in any direction.
Regards,
Brian.
