What in the hell is wrong with this program????? I can draw an object like a
box and then drag the lifeline over 20 frames, create a keyframe and boom.
Animation. I import some text from Corel draw that has an envelope applied
to it and EVERYTHING GOES STRAIGHT TO HELL! R.A.V.E will absolutely
positively NOT create an animation for that text no matter what I do. What
kind of psychopathicly buggy program is this? Its totally driving me bat
sh*t crazy!!!!

I see no difference between Importing, copy/pasting or just drag->dropping
something from DRAW12 into RAVE3.
Which version are you using?
Envelopes are rather troublesome--just by themselves--and can act quite weird
from within RAVE. They key consideration if that both (or all) of the
Envelopes must have the same nodes as the others . . . otherwise, not all points
from one Envelope can be mapped to another in a logical manner.
There are limits (and limitations) we must accept, but some rather nice things
can be created.
Take this, for example (pardon my abysmal animation skills):
http://andyrew.info/corel/samples/1...lope_test_b.htm
http://andyrew.info/corel/samples/1...lope_test_b.clk
I applied the default 'envelope6' Preset listed on the Property Bar with the
Interactive Envelope Tool to the flag . . . a bit of hand-adjusted node work and
everything seems to be o.k.
btw, it's easier for me to create my resources directly in RAVE--it functions
just about the same.
If one of your Keyframes has an Envelope with 5 nodes, and another has 7 nodes
(in different places, for example), things will look weird.
Test your ideas in simple ways, again, and again . . . then, when you're ready,
make a final product.
