Author Resizing text column in CS2

I created a text area and used Type->Area Type Options to make it into 4 columns as required. Now what I want to do is choose one of the columns and resize it so it's not quite as tall as the other three.

I made a wrap object and put it at the bottom of the column, which has the desired effect, but it's a bit clunky. I can't help thinking those text columns should be individually resizeable. Is there a way to resize them?

No, you would have to use threaded text instead.

Hmmm, OK. Is there a way to convert a single text area with multiple columns into a number of threaded text areas?

Not in terms of a dedicated command. You do it manually.
