| I have two CS2 files. One has around 30 layers and I want to copy the whole thing over to another file containing around 20 layers, but I want to retain the layers when I paste so that I end up with a file of around 50 top layers.
Is there any way to combine two files like that and retain all the top layers?

| Have you already tried the Paste Remembers Layers option which is located in the Layers Palette menu?

| Brilliant! When I was looking for the option to keep the layers when I pasted, I was thinking about how PC programs have things like "paste special" "paste from" "paste as hyperlink" "paste in front" "paste in back" all in the edit menu with "paste". Adob
e _could_ have "paste remember layers" in the edit menu near "paste".
Why does Adobe have to spread similar things out like that? It's like text has stuff in the Type menu, but also Edit > Preferences > Type, and yet again in File > Document Setup > Type. Is there a difference between things you chose in those 3 places that
they need to be spread out?
Ok, I feel a little better after venting now :)
