Adobe Illustrator for Windows - Quick Question-Masking Help

Hi, I am new to this forum and also new in Illustrator CS2. However, I
am experienced in Photoshop CS2.
As a beginner, I am making car logos just for practice right now and I
need help. It's vector based. The orange part is only a circle and the
yellow part is only the outside of the logo.

How do I mask out the yellow part from the orange part?
