Hi Folks,
This is a simple question but I just cant seem to find the answer easily. I have some images linked into an Illustrator CS file. These are ads that I am prepping for newsprint. I send the file to print with Acrobate 6.0 Standard.

My question is:
Is it necessary to embed the linked images in Illustrator CS before I make it into a PDF (otherwise, send to print)? It's proving to add time to my process & Im hoping I can streamline this a little more. I know that Acrobat can embeds images... I guess I
d like to confirm if Im doubling up on my efforts. Or if I'm doing the right thing to ensure that my files arrive ready to print.

Any quick advice would be MOST appreciated!
thanks,
kristin

No need to embed images in Illustrator file. So long as the linked file can be found, the image will be embedded in the PDF.
