This has got to be a super basic question but I can't find the answer anywhere. What menu option or keyboard shortcut do I use to center the artboard in the window without changing the zoom level?

Assuming that the aspect of not changing the zoom level is the main point here, no, there is no standard command to do that. You're bound to go the default Ctrl+1 route, then adjust the desired zoom level.

You assumed correct. I'm surprised there isn't a command specifically for it. Thanks for the reply.

IRC, Kurt,

You may still point the finger at the centre of the Artboard in the Navigator palette.

Navigator Palette, the obvious answer. It has been so long since I used it that I had forgotten about it. Now that I am using a wide screen and dual monitors I am going to leave it open all the time. steve
