| Hi. So, whenever i try inputting text in illustrator, the program freezes. i can't understand..i reinstalled illustrator but the problem still remained. the text tool is working but when i type the first letter, everything freezes (and this seems to happe
n only with Adobe fonts such as Myriad)..someone pls help..this is driving me crazy!

Which Windows keyboard are you using? My Illustrator (both CS and CS2) crashes immediately if I try to input text with the Maltese keyboard selected (Win XP, SP2). It is not compatible with this keyboard. The Maltese keyboard was added by Microsoft Servic
e Pack 2, together with several others, so it could be that these "new" languages added recently by Microsoft are unsupported by Illustrator.
I had the same problem with Photoshop CS, but CS2 does not crash. No problems with InDesign CS/2. My suggestion is first of all to set all the Windows keyboard/language settings to default (US/English) and thus eliminate this possibility.
