I have a user here who every now and again is experiencing her filenames being changed from full windows style to old MS-DOS 8-3 format. A filename called THIS IS AN EXAMPLE is shortened to THISIS~1.AI . Anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks,
Keith

AI version?

If 12 (CS2), have you updated to 12.0.1?

v12.0.0 ... I'll try to upgrade and see if that makes any difference. Many thanks.

Joost,

I don't think there has been a techdoc issued that covers this problem,
but it was a known problem when saving to network drives now fixed by 12.0.1
