| Hey Guys,
Just installed the suite
Need to type a book out in illustrator with simple images
How do I get
i) two pages on the my screen..I would like to have
the left side for graphics
the right for the words/writing etc
ii) why when i save the file as a pdf and attach to outlook thenlook at
it, its got a black background with cahnged coloured words and my
recepient say they get the file viewed as normal?

| errrrr.... :)
sorry Cliff... there is no way to have 2 pages at once in Illy, but
still u can keep some hopes. cos u can make it urself. if ur pae size
is A4, get the page size to the double size (A3) and get a guid through
the middle and carry on ur work.
how smart is that...! :)

Once again, Illustrator is what "Illustrator" says it is.
If you would like to do desktop publishing then get such a program.
I sometimes use CorelDraw or Quark for mutiple page layouts.

| Yeah... i agree... ;)
But the best option would be Adobe InDesign. Quark and Corel Draw are
also able to make multiple pages.
[Anyway... i hav designed even Annual reports and Corporate Magazines
using Illustrator by using my above mentioned fake method. ;) ]

| Guys thanks a bunch
I knew I could count on some of you lovely folks
Now gone and got the Lynda.com DVD training stuff and
the Adobe Creative Suite too! to evualate of course :-)
I got the production Suite originally and did'nt know!
but gee all.... ta ;-)
