Author Basic Path Question

Is it possible to construct a path using more than one tool? To make it
more clear is it possible to compose a path using Line Tool followed by
Curve tool?

I am finding it very hard to use the Pen tool to draw paths that
contain curves so I was hoping I could use the line/pen tool and then
curve tool.

It's possible to do like that but with one other option. First you draw
a path with Line tool then a curve with Arc tool. But still this
objetcts are not 1 object. So you won't b able to fill it or do
anything as a one object. To avoid this issue, you'll have to use that
other option, "Join" [(Ctrl+J) or (Object > path > Join)].

But as all other AI users, my suggestion is to use the Pen tool, it
might bit difficult to use when learning it, but you'll find it easy
when you master it and you'll never use Line or Arc again. :) Good Luck!
