Author Saving files in CS2 that were originally created in 9.0.1

I have a user here who opens Illustrator files that were created in
9.0.1 in CS2. When she updates those files and does a Save As to
change the name slightly, Illustrator saves the file to a blank file
and then creates a Pseudo file with <filename~1.ai> filename being the
name of the file. Like I said, the file with the correct name has no
data in it, but the psuedo file has all of the data and is unable to be
renamed properly.

I have tried unchecking the PDF Compatibility check box and that did
not fix this problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I dont get whats "Pseudo file". But check the Illustrator version in
the dialog bos appears when you do Save As. Make sure its CS2 format
(if you want it to be CS2) and save it. And change the file name
completely to a new one.

These may work but I'm not too sure about this, cos i never experienced
a problem like this. But this should work. Good Luck! :) Sorry if this
dont solve your problem & just been a headache reply. :(

sorry... i've typed "dialog bos" in the 2nd line, but it should be
"dialog box". :)
