CS2/CS file issues

| Is there a known issue where CS2 will not open CS files? i'm having
trouble trying to open some CS files in CS2 and i get the error message:
The file "Layout1.ai" is an unknown format and cannot be opened.
Anyone else run into this? I'm running CS2 on XP Media Center

| i've been using CS before, and now i'm using CS2. and also am using my
old CS files in CS2, but it never faced any errors like i are
mentioning. :)
i'm running on XP profesional SP2.

| I take it you are using Illustrator to open the file and not In-Design
