I want to create a symbol in Illy CS 11.0 that I can use in a Word document. Couldn't find what I wanted in ClipArt, so I thought I would make my own. I did, but now I'm not sure how to save it or anything (or if it's even a good idea). Does it matter wha
t size I make it? (Dimensions, not file size, I mean.) What type should I save it as? Anything else I should know? Is there a better way to do this?

Ok. I figured it out. You would think the "Save for Microsoft Office" would have given me a clue, but I forgot about it and didn't see it until I looked in the Adobe online help again.

Or, make sure you've converted any text to outlines and then simply copy / paste into Word.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that first, but the text copied over okay and the object I drew had a problem. So I did the "Save for Microsoft Office" and it worked fine. But does anybody know if I should care about the dimension I make my object? I n
oticed it shows up in my Word document as the same size that I created it, so I know I shouldn't make it gigantic, but is there some kind of a rule-of-thumb (i.e. try to keep it about 1"/2.5 cm)?

Also, how does Adobe handle cropping the image? I noticed it leaves some white space around the edges (easily taken care of, but I'd like to know how to predict it). Does it square it off, or something else?
