printing and outline

| I am not a pro by any means, my job is to modify template designs so I really dont know much about the adobe toolsets.
I have been told by a printing company that before sending the file I must use an outline to avoid text from displaying inproperly when opened on another machine.
I am modifying these files using cs2 eng version but the printer opens them in CS2 Jpn version.
What does he mean by using an outline??? And how do I achieve this??

| I added this to your message in the Indesign forum:
I think he means "convert text to outlines". This means the text cannot be edited and the text become objects.
You can do that in Indesign before making the PDF.
First - ALWAYS make a COPY of the file before doing this.
Click Edit/Select All (CTRL A)
Type/Create Outlines
Print to PDF etc.
