Hi, I downloaded and installed cs2 tryout specifically to try out live trace.
I'll try to keep this as simple as possible. First I got an error while installing but got past it and finished the install.
Then I got an error every time I open cs2 tryout.
Error reads "error loading plug-ins"
"control group (core)"
"png file format.aip"
"tracing suite.aip"
"tracingUI.aip"
I click off the dialog box and cs2 finishes opening. Then I try to open a file and get a message "the filter cannot complete because of an unknown error". I close that box and the file opens and I can work with it. BUT when I place a bitmap into the work
area for tracing, I select it and go to "object" but there is no live trace listed to click on. It's just not there! I have tried trashing my aiprefs and restarting, no change. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling without antivirus or firewall activ
e. No change. I deleted my aiprefs, uninstalled, redownloaded tryout, and reinstalled. This time I did not get an error during the install so I thought I was golden. BUT when I started cs2 tryout this time I have the very same problem. No live trace. Now
I am not sure I should buy the full version because I'm afraid I will have the same problem with that. Any suggestions PLEASE HELP.

The error means that some of the Illustrator 12 trial didn't install.
Try the solutions in <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330710.html>, or call Adobe, they have free support for installation of the trial versions.
