| I hope this isn't a surpassingly stupid question. I'm trying to do something that seems rather simple. I have a shape, I want to add a texture. However, when I add a texture, it exists far outside the boundaries of the shape. For example, if I make a squa
re with a 1px border, and add canvas texture, that texture exists outside of the outline stroke for many pixels in each direction, and apparently in photo negative. Am I missing something obvious?

| Try giving your square a fill then applying the texture.

| Thanks Philip. Unfortunately I have already tried both ways. I have also tried with and without stroke, with and without drop shadow, etc. Thanks for your reply!

| In the Document Raster Effect Settings, change your background color from White to Transparent.
