I've been looking this over to see if something stands out... and it doesn't
immediately.

One thing you could try is to back up your catalogue to a safe place,
uninstall the application and delete all of the Adobe folders. Normally the
instructions given should have done it if this was an Adobe problem, but it
may require more or there may be more interfering.

Try that first and let's see what happens from there.
