Author Photoshop plug-ins in AfterEffects?

Can I use Photoshop plug-ins in After Effects? I have 6.5 running on Windows XP. I seem to remember with earlier versions of AE, being able to place copies of Photoshop plug-ins in the AE Plug-ins folder and having them run just as they would in Photoshop
. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

You used to be able to do this. But I think AE changed their plug-in structure a while back. But go ahead and try it! AE will either load them or not. You won't break anything.

AE supports a very old version of the Photoshop API; the older the plug-ins you're trying to run, the better.
