| Hi,
I can't manage to install the tryout version of AE7. I did download the
1,2 GB zip file and unzipped it. Then I started setup.exe, after
selecting the setup language (doesen't matter what I chose) I get the
sandclock for some seconds and then nothing happened. I'm running
Windows XP SP2 german. In the eventlog there is a message in the
application section:

event: 11708
Product: Adobe After Effects 7.0 -- Installation failed.
I've installed MSI installer version 3.1.4. I've found some MSI
troubleshooting tips in the net like unregistering and reregistering
the MSI service ("msiexec /unregister" and "msiexec /regserver") - but
still no success in installing AE7. Other MSI packages can be installed
without any problems. Unfortunately I can't run "adobe after effects
7.msi" directly - I have to use the setup.exe. I did MSIclean and
MSIfix ... but still no success.
Any hint would be appreciated.
