solved my problem by rendering as NONE .avi but, was i doing something wrong???

was rendering files in AE7 as 8-bit YUV and it wouldn't playback on any other program but PremierePro2 & AE7. [this also happens in PPro2 using the same file format.]

the playback on windows medea player 10 shows up as a bad vertical hold problem. i was trying to import the file into lightwave9 as a texture map.

ran Adobe Update Manager and it's showing that i'm already updated.

is this a known bug?

System is:
winXP sp2
dual 3.0 Xeon w/2gig Ram
supermicro XDAL-G
