| Hi. Having spent a day rendering I decided the best approach to getting back on track is posting a note.
I have a problem playing and exporting video footage. I've tried m2vs (worst result) and now switched to uncompressed quicktime to import.
For a composition I am using two clips of roughly twenty seconds, so the footage is fairly big but by no means excessive.
Checking the footage I found that pans and tilts don't run smoothly. A rendered project preview would show the same thing. My videocard does not support OpenPL, so I figured this was only a preview-related problem.
However, several exports (uncompressed avi, mov, TRT 01:19:00) have shown the same phenomena: All animations are perfectly smooth, just the video footage seems to loose a frame or two in motion every second or so.
I encoded the uncompressed clips with Premiere CS2 and also our Pinnacle Liquid Silver. The result in both cases is mediocre.
What am I missing? Is this an import-problem? A render problem? Hardware? Here's what I have: hp xw6000 Dual Xeon 3.06 Mhz, 1GB RAM, Radeon 8500.
Any tipps are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mark
