mask mode unvailable

| I have several masks on different layers and one of my masks does not allow me to select a mode (none, add, substract, etc...) how did that happen and how do I fix it, coz i need my mask to be on add and its put itself by default on none

| That mask is probably not closed. Select the mask, then select Layer->Mask->Closed.

| I've tried this already and it squashes my mask so it is unusable, I wasn't the person that created the mask but I need to set it to add and it wont let me do it as the mode selection is unavailable (gray) do you know of any way that will allow me to sele
ct the mode without haveing to redo the hole animated mask ( it is 450 frames long, so quite time consuming)

| Not at all. This is something each and every one of us has probably run up against at some point, and the answer isn't the least bit obvious unless you've encountered it before.
