How to do this??? Book Opening and then pages turning...

| I want to create a new intro for my short program. The idea I have is to zoom into a book cover and then have it open with pages turning. Each page would have a picture on it with some kind of writing or description. Kind of like a photo album.
Please help with any ideas on how to pull this off...
Regards,
Mark

| Mark,
There are a couple of ways to do this, shooting at least the first part would be good, although if you don't want to see a hand or something open the book it could get tricky. Doing it backwards with a high shutter speed is one option.
Another way to do this is with stop motion, which you would still have to shoot, there are a couple of stop motion apps out there that aren't too expensive.
Stills would be another way, sort of a faux stop motion with dissolves between cover shots.
Once you get into the book you could use one of the cheesy page peel effects to turn the pages, but it would look pretty fake.
There's a plugin called Forge Freeform with which you could do a very realistic job of turning the pages, not cheap, but it's a great plugin to have around.
One other option is to prepare your book with the pages inside, and just shoot the whole thing with a hand turning the pages.
Really, to do this well is quite an undertaking, you need some time and patience.

| Hey, that's pretty schnazzy!
But if you want real 3D pages, look into the Forge Freeform plug-in. Or a 3D app.
