I asked the production office for uncompressed Quicktime files and they
sent a DVD with Audio_TS and Video_TS folders and .VOB files. Can I use
these and if so, how?

Using TMGPEnc demux the vob to a .m2v file, import into Adobe Premier
then export as a filmstrip. You can open a *.flm in After Effects.

Hope this helps, there may be an easier way, but this works for me and
seems to keep the quality of the .VOB file?
