I'm using After Effects 6.0, which has been newly installed on a brand new computer (PC using Windows XP, not sure of the specifics). When I render out files, they don't ever play back at regular speed -- sometimes I can get it to play for chunks as .mov
files after running through them a few times, but as an .avi it just crashes Windows Media completely after playing very jerkily for a few seconds.

I've tried lowering and adjusting all my settings as suggested on the Adobe site, but nothing seems to be working -- I'm looking for eventual export to DVD. Has anyone run into this problem before? I can't figure out what the issue is!

Hi,

Will need to know the specifics of WinXP before anything else.

How much RAM do you have?

Do you have QuickTime Pro installed?

Do you have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed?
