Hello and help.
I have AE 6.5 with the 6.5.1 update. I am using a Sony VGC-RA820G series computer with a Pentium 4 3.4Ghz CPU. I have 2 GB of RAM with memory and cache set to Max Mem Usage 120%, Max Ram Cache size 60% and Max Disk Cache size to 2000 MB. The program is ne
ar useless at the moment as any time I try to scrub the timeline, move a layer's start point along the timeline and (sometimes) move the layer's position around in the comp window, the program freezes and the only way out is to turn off the computer. No w
arning as to when this will happen so apart from saving very very often it's becoming difficult to use the program.
Help please.

Why Adobe would even allow anyone to use 120% of Memory when there's only 100% is beyond my comprehension.

Max Mem Usage should be 90%
Cache should be 60%
DISABLE Disk Cache
DISABLE OpenGL
