Hi does anyone how Joost from Renascent gets the swarming particle effects on his type like this movie for example?

I love that effect - beautiful!!!!

Does anyone know how this can be done or does any body have the skills to do it for me?

Look forward to any help you can give ;)

I believe the shatter plugin will work well for the basic text particles. When they trace around in a circle Particle playground may be useful.

....thanks very much Jory, appreciate the reply - there seems to be a world of stuff that AE can do! I am still a little green when it comes to this programme - but man I love it!!!

Thanks again Jory ;~)

Dean,

Wow, where did you get that? A couple of the effects could be done with Shatter, but I think a much more complex program was used, like Cinema 4D or Maya. Very cool.

....just something that I threw together whilst eating my lunch...

ha ha ha - no it is from the portfolio of the very talented monkey at renascent.nl

....Good isn't he?

I'd love to be able produce stuff like that - maybe with practice, who knows...

it was made with a particle system in 3ds max, no AE was used.

thanx for the kind words about my work.

Hi Joost,

....aaah... the mists have cleared a little - looks like I've been barking up the wrong tree! :))

Kind words? ...just saying what I see - "Bonita"

Thanks for your reply Joost - straight from the horses mouth as they say.
Keep up the good stuff my friend

Dean
