Author Which format should I output from After

I have After Effects 5.5 and Premiere Pro 1.0. I am just starting to use After Effects and my biggest question right now is which format to export out of After Effects into Premiere. It looks as if some people are recommending Quicktime, but I thought jus
t a DV AVI would work. I want the best quality with no compression. I am using DV footage by the way. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

DV is 4:1 Lossy - if you have the space, you shouldn't use this for exchanging data between AE and Premiere. Each time you render, you'll lose quality.

Try Quicktime:Animation. That's a lossless compressor, meaning you won't perceive any image degradation. Plus, it also supports alpha channels.

Thanks David for the help. I will certainly do that.
